  BIRTH


Embassy is authorized to transcribe in its records the birth certificates issued by local authorities.

For this, the applicant must present a birth certificate not older than 3 months, accompanied by a certificate showing the father of Senegalese nationality.
The transcript is inalienable, it can do so at any time, no time is required for that even an adult whose father is Senegalese can transcribe his birth certificate to the Embassy when he was born in Canada .

MARRIAGE
As an officer of Vital consulate, the Ambassador of Senegal in Canada is entitled to solemnize the marriage abroad of two Senegalese or marriage with a stranger (or vice - versa) insofar as the law of host country permits.
Upon the establishment of the marriage, it is delivered free to a spouse, a family book on the identity of the couple, date and place of the celebration or recognition of the marriage and, where applicable , options written.

The law of the country where the marriage is being legally competent to determine its form, the intervention of the diplomatic or consular formalities is often limited to the following:
-Issuance of certificate of capacity to marry upon presentation of certain documents.
- Mandatory publication of intended marriage at the diplomatic post and the last residence of the intending spouses.
- Transcript of the marriage certificate issued by local authorities.
Marriages, recorded or transcribed by the diplomatic and consular posts are subject to notes in the margins of the birth of any such person in a timely manner.

DEATH
The Embassy must be notified of all deaths of Senegalese in order to make the recording or transcript. Usually the registrar consular claim the death certificate issued by local authorities in order to transcribe the records of death certificates of the position.

Any death will be recorded in a marginal entry in the birth certificate of the deceased. The registrar will bear the consular directly on the relevant register. If the birth of the deceased is registered, if it is born somewhere else notice mention of death is sent to Vital birthplace through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

NB: The Embassy is at the request of relatives of the deceased, to establish a laissez-passer for the repatriation of the body in Senegal. This formality is required for airlines.
